Using TutorQ
What kinds of questions can I ask?
You can ask anything related to your enrolled courses:
- Concept explanations
- Problem-solving help
- Study strategies
- Connections between topics
- Practice problems
Will the AI just give me answers to homework?
No. TutorQ is designed to help you learn, not just get answers. It will:
- Guide you through problems with questions
- Show you the process, not just the solution
- Help you understand why, not just what
- Encourage you to try before revealing answers
Can I upload images of my homework?
Yes! You can upload images of problems, diagrams, or textbook pages. TutorQ can analyze them and help you understand the content.
How accurate is the AI?
Very accurate. Every response is:
- Based on your course materials
- Automatically evaluated for accuracy and teaching quality
- Regenerated if it doesn't meet quality standards
However, always think critically and ask your instructor if something seems off.
Privacy and Academic Integrity
Can my instructor see my questions?
Instructors can see:
- How much you use TutorQ
- Which concepts you're working on
- Your overall progress and mastery levels
Instructors cannot see:
- Your specific questions (unless you share them)
- Chat transcripts (unless you grant access)
Is using TutorQ cheating?
No! TutorQ is a learning tool, like a textbook or study group. However:
- ✅ Use TutorQ to understand concepts
- ✅ Use it for homework help and practice
- ❌ Don't use it during exams (unless explicitly allowed)
- ❌ Don't copy responses verbatim for assignments
When in doubt, check your instructor's policy on AI tools.
Is my data private?
Yes. TutorQ:
- Doesn't sell your data
- Uses encryption for all communications
- Complies with FERPA and GDPR
- Allows you to delete your data anytime
See our Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) for details.

- Break complex questions into parts
I found an error in an AI response
Good catch! Here's what to do:
- Take a screenshot
- Click "Report Issue" in the chat
- Or email support@q3learners.com with details
We continuously improve the AI based on feedback.
Usage and Limits
I'm running out of daily interactions. What can I do?
During beta, all students have 50 free interactions per day. To make the most of them:
- Ask comprehensive questions rather than multiple small ones
- Combine related questions into a single conversation
- Use follow-up questions efficiently within the same session
If you need more interactions for your coursework, contact support@q3learners.com and we'll work with you.
Will TutorQ always be free?
TutorQ is currently in beta and free for all students. We're still finalizing our long-term pricing model. Any future pricing changes will be announced well in advance, and we're committed to keeping TutorQ accessible to students.
Best Practices
How can I get the most out of TutorQ?
- Ask specific, thoughtful questions
- Follow up for deeper understanding
- Use it regularly (short sessions are better than cramming)
- Review your progress dashboard weekly
- Practice active learning (try before asking)
Should I take notes while using TutorQ?
Yes! Taking notes helps you:
- Remember concepts better
- Have a reference for later
- Engage more actively with material
TutorQ saves your chat history, but handwritten notes aid learning.
When should I ask my instructor instead of TutorQ?
Ask your instructor when:
- You need clarification on assignments or grading
- You have questions about course policies
- You've tried TutorQ but still don't understand
- You need guidance on academic or career matters
TutorQ complements your instructor, it doesn't replace them.
